Sitting in the heart of the Wilyabrup, Stones + Thunder began when Darran Stone & family left South Africa to build something new - a family legacy grounded in authenticity. They didn’t arrive with a dynasty or a grand estate, just a single block and a belief that if they listened closely enough, the land would speak for itself. 

And the world noticed. Founded in 2022, they burst onto the scene with some of the most amazing wines. Well awarded by James Halliday & others, they have recently been named in the Top 50 Wine Producers worldwide by the IWSC

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River, Western Australia. Sourced from their Wagtail vineyard, the area is famous for its ironstone-rich soils and cooling ocean breezes, which yield balanced fruit with natural tension

Taste Profile: Powerful, concentrated layers of blackberry and dark chocolate, framed by an elegant and silky texture typical of high-quality Wilyabrup Cabernet

Winemaking Process: The Cabernet Suavignon grapes were night
harvested from their single-vineyard in Wilyabrup ,with co fermentation on the skins in stainless steel tanks. 18 months ageing in 100% new French Oak barrels.
