Sitting in the heart of the Wilyabrup, Stones + Thunder began when Darran Stone & family left South Africa to build something new - a family legacy grounded in authenticity. They didn’t arrive with a dynasty or a grand estate, just a single block and a belief that if they listened closely enough, the land would speak for itself. 

And the world noticed. Founded in 2022, they burst onto the scene with some of the most amazing wines. Well awarded by James Halliday & others, they have recently been named in the Top 50 Wine Producers worldwide by the IWSC

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River in Western Australia. 

Taste Profile: Exquisite notes of white grapefruit and lemon balm, accompanied by crisp apple and white pear. Rich with fleshy citrus acidity, subtle hints of butterscotch, spice, and a "tempest" of citrus complexity. Long and textured with lingering hints of hazelnut

Winemaking Process: The fruit was handpicked from the winery's single-block Wagtail Vineyard in Wilyabrup. Whole-bunch pressed and barrel-fermented in 40% new French oak barrels. Aged for 10 months on the lees (yeast sediment) to build its signature creamy texture and complexity.
