Marques de Tomares Rioja Crianza 2021 1.5L Magnum

A Centenaria Rioja winery respecting traditions in cellar aging their wines. With a family grape growing history since 1886, Don Román Montaña founded the winery Marqués de Tomares in 1910, and it is still operated by his grandchildren who continue to maintain the wineries tradition both in the winery and in the estate’s vineyards.

With nearly 106 hectares of family-owned vineyards, many of which more than 100 years old, spotted throughout Rioja Alta in Haro, Fuenmayor and the surrounding areas, careful viticulture and longtime partnerships with local farmers lend to the precise identity of Marqués de Tomares.

Grape Varietals & Region: 90% Tempranillo & 10% Graciano from various plots in Rioja Alta, Spain. Hand picked from the plot of Llanoluengo , Valtierre, vines are an average age 40 years. Clayey-calcareous soil and at an altitude of 680 meters.

Taste Profile: A gorgeous ruby Red with notes of Cherries, Strawberries and even black berries, a touch of peppercorn and oak. It taste however fruity, fresh and rounded - with elegant tannic structure.

Its flavor is smooth and round at the entrance with velvety and very pleasant sensations. Its tannic structure is elegant and very well constituted, with an outstanding aftertaste due to its great persistence.

Winemaking Process: Aged for 12 months in American-French Oak Barrels before bottling.
