Les Coteaux du Pic "Les Sardines" Rosé 2024
Sun, sardines, and salt air — an easygoing, no-fuss rosé built for the apéritif hour.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Grenache and Cinsault, from vineyards at the foot of the Pic Saint-Loup massif, north of Montpellier in the Languedoc, France. Vignobles des 3 Châteaux is the bottling arm of Coteaux du Pic, the principal producer of the Pic Saint-Loup Protected Designation of Origin — situated right at the foot of the iconic Pic. The Pic Saint-Loup area benefits from a unique microclimate where continental coolness from the north blends with Mediterranean warmth from the south, ideal for fresh, fruit-driven rosé styles.
Taste Profile: A light, very fresh, fruity rosé with a salmon hue, showing aromas of small red fruits like raspberry, with the palate continuing in the same fruity register. A very gulpable, unpretentious wine that will please the crowd. Easy-drinking and food-friendly by design — the playful "Sardines" label nods to tinned sardines bathed in extra virgin olive oil, best enjoyed Mediterranean-style on toast with a touch of butter and coriander — a fitting, fun pairing for this breezy, summery rosé. Best served well chilled.
Winemaking Process: A classic Languedoc rosé vinification, with grapes pressed gently and fermented cool to preserve the wine's fresh, fruity character and pale salmon colour — built for immediate, easy enjoyment rather than ageing
