Gump Hof Vernatsch Mediaevum DOC 2022

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Schiava from Alto Adige, Italy. The vines for Mediaevum Vernatsch grow in the southern Eisack Valley at the foot of the Schlern massif at around 400-480 metres above sea level.

Taste Profile: Brilliant, brightening ruby colour. Fine, fragrant nose of delicate cherry flavours, violets, very clear. Juicy on the palate, shows good tension, flavours of sour cherries and raspberries, delicate tannins

Winemaking Process: short cold maceration followed by fermentation in steel tank for 1 week. malolactic fermentation and ageing in steel tanks and for 1/3 in wooden casks for 6-8 months
