Fanny Sabre Bourgogne Rouge Cuvee XXIV 2024
Somewhat of a 'super' Bourgogne Rouge. In 2024, Fanny was incredibly hard hit by poor yields – leading her to blend almost all of her parcels together under her 'Bourgogne Rouge' Only ~900 bottles produced (from what would have normally been 9,000+ bottles)
Grape Varietals & Region: !00% PInot Noir from Burgundy, France. The fruit comes from Volnay and Pommard
Taste Profile: This red Burgundy perfectly embodies the finesse of the Côte de Beaune. The nose opens with aromas of fresh cherry, peony, and a hint of pepper. On the palate, the texture is silky yet precise, with a beautiful tension that highlights the fruit. The discreet oak aging allows the terroir to speak for itself: it is straightforward, juicy, and unadornedly pure. An already expressive red, bursting with vitality, that combines elegance, balance, and authenticity
Winemaking Process: 100% whole bunch used across all parcels, with restraint impact of oak. The added complexity coming from the myriad of appellations assembled here: a wine that certainly overdelivers on a ‘mere’ Bourgogne Rouge.
