Sixth-generation Châteauneuf-du-Pape family history is what makes this humble Côtes-du-Rhône, from siblings barely into their thirties, taste like it's punching well above its appellation.

Grape Varietals & Region: A field blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Marselan grown across Domaine Mayard's dozen hectares spanning Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône, in the southern Rhône Valley — the same terroir the family has farmed since well before they started bottling under their own name.

Taste Profile: Crisp red and black fruit dominate the nose, lifted by garrigue and a hint of smoke; the palate stays fresh and juicy throughout, with supple tannins that give structure without ever turning hard — built for immediate, guilt-free drinking.

Winemaking Process: Vinified without added sulfites in ovoid concrete tanks, chosen specifically to preserve the integrity of the fruit rather than layer on oak character; farmed with regenerative practices that prioritise soil health and biodiversity.

Winemaker: Arthur and Hugo Mayard are the sixth generation of a family that has bottled Châteauneuf-du-Pape since the 1920s, one of the oldest in the appellation to do so — but their own estate, born from a 2021 split of the family vineyards, is deliberately young in spirit, built on regenerative farming rather than resting on the family name.
